Anonymous In DC: Another Nashville? [updated]

Well, while Scientology is trying to mop-up the big mess they caused in Nashville, they're ready to do it all over again. This time in Washington DC. Today is the grand opening ceremony for the Ideal Org at 16th and P Streets NW. And just like Nashville, Anonymous is ready to greet them with a demonstration.

But it seems Scientology just can't learn from their mistakes (what do ya' want? there just homo-novi). It's been reported that they've already tried to shut the protest down through intimidation, but the protesters had the fore-sight to apply for a sidewalk permit, and informed local police of the harassment.

It's unclear if the biggest little man in Scientology, David Miscavige, will be attending, but it's been confirmed that foot-bullet marksmen such as Tommy 'i'm walking out' Davis, John 'i smell puthy' Carmichael and Scientology's in-house lawyer, Kendrick 'unindicted co-conspirator' Moxon are to be in attendance.

It's a good chance the celebration has already started by the time this post goes up, but you can follow any play-by-play action that may occur at WWP's post-raid thread. Mods will be adding updates from protesers using low-resolution/low-bandwidth platform devices [cellphones].

Update: Looks like the super-human Scientologists had to resort to big sheet shields to ward off scary basement-dwelling protesters. If you didn't know any better, you'd think Anonymous was protesting a new chinese laundry.

Post Event Update:
Apparently the reporter for the DCist had no clue as to what was going on at the protest (left before it even started), but luckily we have an amazing protester/videographer AnonSparrow who gives us the up close and personal version of what it's like to protest a Scientology event.

He and the other DC protesters must have been running on Xenu's eternal battery as noted in this entry at WWP:
"You are still up after being on the job all day? Since what ungodly time this morning? Dude, truly you have gained control over MEST to accomplish your epic achievements today...".

Also, since Officer Smart-Ass is such an attention whore, we'd thought we'd help AnonSparrow introduce him to the internet. [if anyone happened to catch a badge#, feel free to leave it in the comment section]

Cued YouTube videos:

• Officer Smart-Ass throws his weight around.

You can catch all the action from the Anon's that were there over at WWP's post-raid thread.

Nashville Protester Sues Scientology For $6 Mill [video]

Latest Video From WSMV News4

Nashille: A college student is suing the Nashville Church of Scientology, a security company and three off-duty Spring Hill police officers for $6 million. Thomas Parker said he was knocked to the ground, handcuffed and arrested, for nothing more than attempting to peacefully protest.

The Church of Scientology's grand opening turned into a grand mess when hired security arrested protesters. It would have been a he-said, she-said -- except that it was all caught on tape.

Parker was on his way to protest the grand opening. He was still blocks away when security guards cut off him and his group. Three off-duty officers working for Hayes Security and hired by the church took down Parker, handcuffed and arrested him.

The church had taken out permits to block the street for the wrong day.

Parker, through his attorney, Nathaniel Koenig, is suing all of the above-mentioned parties.

"I'm just hoping that right will be done," Parker said.

Brian Fesler, a Church of Scientology representative, said the group had threatened the church in the past.

WSMV News4 broadcast October 30th 2009 ~ College Student Says Peaceful Protest Intent Led To Arrest. Also, audio commentary from Elby 'chuckles' Nonamous can be heard in the background.

Some Other Points Not Mentioned:
Over at WWP, a thread entry lists a lot of what went wrong that day:
The degree of *uckup by Hayes guards and Scientology in this case is staggering.

• wrong day on permit, thus closing down a state highway without proper permit
• place of arrest outside permit area
• abysmal conflict handling skills
• arresting when 44 trying to leave
• excessive force
• lying to public works
• lying in the police
• off duty officers not checked in with Nashville police
• guards/officers not properly identified
• interrogating the arrested person in an improper fashion, in public view
• arrest happening in full view of both CoS executives and Hayes executives
• high possibility that the CoS gave Hayes hysterical information about Anonymous that they knew was misleading
• lying to the press for a while, before lawyers told them to shut up

Even one of these things on its own is bad enough. Taken together, you have the biggest cluster*uck I've ever seen made of a protest, except for those where people actually got killed. This is easily worse than that bike activist who got tackled in New York, and that was national news for months.

Nashville Protester Sues Scientology For $6 Mill [archive video]

Scientology's Week Of Bad News Continues...
[Update: WSMV News4 will be broadcasting an updated report available here.]

Nashville: A Murfreesboro man has filed a $6 million lawsuit against the Church of Scientology's Nashville celebrity center claiming that guards hired by the church assaulted him while he was staging a protest.

Thomas A. Parker and other members of an anti-Scientology group called Anonymous planned to protest the center's grand opening on April 25.

nashville protester assaulted Parker and others were walking down Eighth Avenue South, when two off-duty Spring Hill police officers, hired as security guards by the church, confronted them, the suit alleges. Parker claims he was pushed to the ground. He claims to have suffered injuries to his left shoulder, elbows and knees.
Charges dropped.

According to the suit, Parker was arrested for aggravated criminal trespass. The charge was later dismissed. Brian Fesler, spokesman for the Church of Scientology, said he was unaware of the lawsuit and had no comment.

The incident occurred on a sidewalk about 450 yards away and across the street from the Scientology center at 1130 Eighth Ave. S., said Nathaniel Koenig, Parker's lawyer.

Koenig said his client had every right to peacefully protest the Scientology event.

"I didn't know that walking down a public street in Nashville was a crime," said Koenig. "I have nothing against the Church of Scientology. I don't care. This is not attacking them as a religion. This is all about their attack on my client and his constitutional rights."

Also added by an anon protester involved "Scientology is listed on the lawsuit because of the master-servant clause. They are responsible for Hayes' action in this case. Otherwise, it would have been just Hayes. Hayes is listed as well, along with the individual officers", and don't expect this to get settled out-of-court, "...I told him that if he agreed to any kind of NDA, he'd feel the wrath of his fiance. I don't think he wants to deal with that... [also, see comments below]".

Seems as if the "basement dwelling, internet terrorists are all grown up now and filing their very own lawsuits". Earlier ODIT reports archived here for original assault in April and the follow-up report in May.

Today: Scientology's Celebrity Backfires [video]

Scientology has a long history of spastic, sweaty spokespersons with creepy laughs who eventually crack under the pressure and leave the organization. There was Robert Vaughn Young, who publicly renounced the church in 1989 after decades in its leadership. He was followed by Mike Rinder, an unhinged Australian bulldog who decided to stop lying for church leader David Miscavige last year and spoke out publicly about the cult's bizarre and arbitrary cruelty in June. The latest inheritor of Young and Rinder's mantle as the unsettling public face of scientology is Tommy Davis, the head of the cult's Celebrity Centre in Los Angeles. And let's not forget scientology's over the top celebrity spokespeople.

NBC Today: Karma Has It's Way With Scientology

AU: Today Tonight
Covers scientology's conviction in France, Tommy Davis' beeline exit and Paul Haggis leaving scientology. Oh, and of course Xenu makes an appearance, thanks to L.Ron Hubbard.

And More Tommy Davis Footbullets

Less than an hour before
a damaging piece on the Church of Scientology was set to air on ABC's "Nightline," the controversial faith's spokesman, Tommy Davis, showed up unannounced at the studio and tried to get the segment spiked.

45 minutes before the segment was to air on Thursday, Davis showed up at ABC headquarters on West 67th Street and asked to speak to Bashir and the show's executive producer about the interview.

"He demanded to a security guard that he be let in," a network insider told Page Six. "The guard called 'Nightline' staffers down to come deal with him. He was told as politely as possible that the piece was cut and in the can and could not be changed and that Martin would be unable to see him. He was then asked to leave." Adds our source, "He was not happy."

French Fry Scientology For Fraud, Again [video]

A Paris court fined the Church of Scientology 600,000 euros ($900,000) on Tuesday for aggressive sales tactics that the court said amounted to organized fraud. But the organization dodged a potential expulsion from the country.

Four leaders of Scientology’s French branch, which claims about 45,000 adherents, were also handed suspended prison sentences and fines. “This is an important… decision because it is the first time that Scientology has been found guilty of involvement in organized fraud,” Olivier Morice, a lawyer for two French citizens who brought the fraud charges against Scientology, said.

From WWP, a breakdown of the verdicts:

* = organized fraud
+ = complicity in the illegal exercise of pharmacy
~ = illegal exercise of pharmacy
& = ordered to publish judgment in newspaper

1. GUILTY Alain Rosenberg - 2 years prison (suspended) 30,000E fine *+
2. GUILTY Didier Michaux - 18 months Prison (suspended) 20,000E fine *
3. GUILTY Jean-François Valli - 18 months Prison (suspended) 10,000E fine *
4. GUILTY Sabine Jacquart - 10 months Prison (suspended) 5,000E fine *+
5. GUILTY Aline Fabre - 2,000E fine ~
6. GUILTY Marie Anne Pasturel - 1,000E fine ~
7. GUILTY Celebrity Centre - 400,000E fine * &
8. GUILTY Scientology Bookstore - 200,000E fine * &

This is not the first time Scientology’s has had legal problems in France. In 1988, Frenchman and church member Patrice Vic committed suicide after going into debt paying for the church’s services (most of the steps on the path of spiritual progress in the church must be paid for).

In 1996, the head of the church in Lyon, was convicted of manslaughter in Mr. Vic’s death. Two other Scientologists received sentences for intimidating a psychiatrist who served as an expert witness at the manslaughter trial.

In 1978, Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard was convicted in absentia to four years in prison by a French court for making false claims that his methods could cure illness. Mr. Hubbard never served a day of the sentence, and passed away in 1986.

Scientology Spokesman Walks Out On Interview [video]

Part Two presented in four YouTube segments

We pick up with Part 2, where ABC's NightLine left off last night with it's special on Scientology.
Interviews continue with ex-Scientologists Marty Rathbun, Amy Scobee, Mike Rinder and the current Scientology spokesperson.

Spoiler Alert: Tommy 'Footbullet' Davis walks out on ABC Nightline interview at the mention of galactic-warlord Xenu's name. Just the mention of that name, and Davis is setting coordinates for the exit star-system, warp factor 10.
Apparently, this homo-novi's kryptonite is the mention of 75 million year old dictator of the "Galactic Confederacy", penned by sci-fi writer L.Ron Hubbard.

Thanks to the anons @ WWP for providing the links.

NightLine: Scientology Has Gone To The Dogs [video]

Part One presented in three YouTube segments
Part One of ABC's NightLine report on Scientology was pretty much middle of the road, nothing new but the dogs in uniform, if you've been following the story since tampabay.com's Truth Rundown story broke.

But if you're new to the story, you find fresh allegations from former senior insiders claiming the Church's current leader, David Miscavige, has created and encouraged a climate of violence within senior staff and was frequently violent himself.

More on the Dogs:

• Martin Bashir: Amy Scobe also confirms that Mr. Miscavige would bring his dog around dressed like a uniformed member and if the dog barked she says he would suggest that the individual towards whom the dog barked was behaving badly, had some kind of negative problem. Is that true?

• Tommy Davis: I don't know. I mean maybe we should have the dog come in here and see if it barks at you, Martin.

• And from former-insider BFG, "In terms of the dog – there was actually at least 4 of them. Safi, Jelly, Lucy and Daisy. Lucy was the one that did the barking at “out-ethics” people.

The dogs DO travel with Dave. They at least went to Clearwater all the time. These dogs make Paris Hilton’s dogs look like ghetto strays. Clothes, special food, hot and cold running people to walk them pick up the crap and take care of them. Those dogs easily have more money spent on their weekly food than 10 RPFers combined!

Dave also had a two Dalmations for a few years. One was a purebred named Magpie and a mix Dalmation-Pitbull named Buster. Magpie was sweet but Buster was the terror of the Int Base. He even had an ethic file and staff would write reports on him C/O ETHICS RTC. He would roam free and kill other animals most of the time. After he killed seven peacocks in one day he went to the doggie RPF - he was shipped off to CST and we never saw him again.

So even the dogs get RPF’ed in Scientology.
".

Channel4 SECRET LIVES: L. Ron Hubbard [video]

50 min. Aired: Nov 19th 1997 Channel 4, UK
With his book, Dianetics, a best-seller, Ron Hubbard was America's new guru. In August 1950, at a lecture hall in Los Angeles he presented to a crowd of 6,000 the first person to be what he called a 'clear'. She was a student called Sonya Bianca. As a clear, she was supposed to have total recall.

"Various members of the audience called questions at her. Could she remember what was said on page 217 of her physics textbook? She couldn't. Could she remember what she had for breakfast on the morning of August 17, 1946? She couldn't. Then various people called out for Hubbard to turn his back on her and see if she could remember the colour of his tie. She couldn't. At that moment, the whole business sort of collapsed. People started leaving the auditorium."

Suddenly Hubbard was in trouble. He was accused of being a con-man and Dianetics a form of hypnotism., a technique at which he was so expert.

More Scientology Dirt Coming Soon [book]

As mentioned on examiner.com and WWP:

Nancy Many's My Billion Year Contract to be released October 26th, is the voice of a former insider who survived egregious abuse when her loyalty was called into question, including weeks of grueling interrogation verging on mental torture and deliberate drugging in an attempt to cause her death.

Another reason Scientology has escaped mainstream criticism is a lot of people fear them. “I was even turned down by a Print on Demand Publisher, that's pretty low. They liked the writing, but were so fearful they would be sued....So, we are basically doing this on our own and taking the risk.”

From the about-page "...after she joined Scientology’s elite inner circle, the Sea Organization, and signed a Billion Year contract that she discovered the dark world of fanaticism and abuse at the center of Scientology’s vast empire.

For more than two decades she worked at all levels of the organization, from serving as a personal aide to the founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard, who placed her in charge of the religion’s worldwide expansion to becoming the head of Celebrity Center, the organization that caters to it’s celebrity members.

Early in her Scientology career, she spent five years as a covert agent engaged in espionage activities for the Church’s shadowy Guardian’s Office. After leaving the Sea Org she spent an additional two years as an undercover operative for the “reformed” Guardian’s Office, the Office of Special Affairs, which continued the same pattern of covert intelligence and dirty tricks against the Church’s perceived enemies while using intense legal attacks and bolstered by hire private investigators. She personally experienced the Sea Organization’s Rehabilitation Project Force; a labor camp where erring members are “re-educated”.

When her loyalty came into question she was subjected to weeks of grueling interrogation, ending up in restraints after being rushed to a hospital by ambulance, unable to even recognize her husband.

It is a shocking story of abuse, imprisonment, espionage, lies, mental torture and suicide- vital reading for anyone who wants to know what goes on behind Scientology’s curtain."

With more and more of these ex-scientologists writing about their experiences in Scientology, seems as if Tom Cruise's planet clearing days may be coming to an end, as illustrated in the:

DA Dismisses Case Against Scientology Protester

graham_berry
Los Angeles - Attorney Graham Berry: I have just been advised by the Riverside County District Attorney's Office that at the next court appearance the pending charges, for trespass and battery upon a peace officer, against Anonymous Orange will be dismissed under California Penal Code section 1385. That section is discussed in the Supplemental Memorandum re "Suggestion of Dismissal" which is posted at Angry Gay Pope's homepage.

I congratulate AO on successfully persisting with his defense and I thank everyone who provided constructive assistance and useful information.

[Originally], the judge did deny our motion, as I reported in the other thread (AGP uploads 100s, etc). However, someone high up in the DA's office must have read our papers and decided that this case what not what the Scientologists had made it seem.

AO dog-piled by guards There can be a number of strategic reasons why a lawyer files certain motions. Of course, one is to win. Often a lawyer does not expect to win or it is an uphill slog. However, the motion may be made to educate the judge or the other side about issues. Another may be to encourage dismissal or settlement.

Then there is the Church of Scientology which often files motions to cause the other side to do work and increase their legal fees. Scientology litigation often resembles a war of attrition. "There is no other animal on earth like a Scientology lawsuit," LRH once wrote. It seems to me that it was one of the few true things that he did write!

Even in our current political and social climate there are people who eventually decide to do the right thing.

Anonymous: Festival of Leaks [video]

Anonymous is very pleased to announce: The Festival of Leaks. On Monday, 12th October, 2009, 12 pm EST, we will release for immediate download, the most amount of copyrighted Church of Scientology clap-trap, in a single place evar (ever).

The ANONYMOUS MEMBERS already involved in this are uploading to multiple locations, their vast library. As the OSA work under overload to get all these copies removed from the internet, we will edit the static pages that the public will be using, updating this with a complete new set of download locations.

The festival will continue for seven days and will have at least seven different sets of files. This is a response to (the actions of) Scientologist Doctor Oliver Schaper, making many false DMCA claims regarding audio video content critical of their cult, Scientology.

Doctor Schaper, look what you brought in. WHAT ARE YOUR CRIMES?

Scientology's Super-Size-Me Floorplans [pic]

Legit leak or elaborate troll? You be the judge.
david miscavage super power
reddit.com: I was involved with the intimate design/development of the Scientology "Mecca" building.

This building was designed for "Super Power development"... no joke. It is the equivalent of the Temple Mount to Scientologist. I'm one of a handful of people outside of the highest members of the Church who know anything about the inside of this building.

One of the floors is almost literally an entire running track with a 148 foot diameter. There are about 500 "auditing" rooms. There is also a "Celebrity/VIP" lounge which is like a building within a building. The Super Power rooms have some odd (large) equipment within them.

The architectural layout requires you to pass by security spots to reach any of the "stranger" rooms, and many of the hallways and door ingresses are intentionally designed to blend in to the structure. I would say "hidden passage", though it seems a little weird to put it that way.

Few members know about them because the building is not yet completely occupied, and only the designers know about the rooms before they are tucked away. Even the contractors on site have been kept away from many restricted areas.

Also, another thread popped up over at WWP.

Riverside County's 'Dukes Of Hazzard' Show [video]

only thing missing is the car chases

Riverside County,CA ~ Miss the Dukes of Hazzard show that used to air in the 1980's? Don't get your overalls in a bunch, because you can now watch the real life shenanigans that take place at Riverside County's weekly county supervisors meeting. Only thing that's missing is the car chases.

We've got corrupt county supervisors, questionable cops, nepotism, DA's that can't seem to hold on to evidence, the cult of scientology's compound, masked protesters, flamboyant arrestees, all for your viewing pleasure, commercial free, complements of the Riverside Board Meeting Library [IE required]. You can see edited-for-time versions, visit mnql1's channel on YouTube.

Snickers bars, gay popes and arrested development. [view from spectators gallery] Retrived from the Riverside BOS, Oct.6th thread at WWP. (If you're unfamiliar with the going-ons in this video, please view video 2 below this. It'll kind of get you up to speed)

2) Previous Episode: Introducing A 'Dog The Bounty Hunter' Wannabe
Retrieved from the 'AO arrested again by bailbondsman' thread at WWP. Orange's bail bondsman, Faustino Jr, just made a $3,900 donation to Jeff Stone's campaign. I guess in return Stone can arrest anybody he wants.

3) That's Your Opinion
The video excerpt below is not about Scientology, protesters, or bounty-hunters but it was another intense moment at the Board of Supervisors meeting. The speaker is a local, who has for more than a year been warning of a flood risk in Supervisor Jeff Stone's district. Let's see how the Jeff 'Boss Hogg' Stone treats the general public in his meetings.

New OT VIII Graduation, Sounds Like AA Meeting

freewinds hides in colombia
From xenuTV and WWP, the following films are from OT8 graduations aboard the blue asbestos infested Scientology cruise ship, Freewinds.

Take a gander at these homo novus, super beings that are supposed to have perfect recall, reciting, not from memory, but reading prepared statements, about their wins at becoming the most in-debt super beings on the planet.

But it sounds more like an AA meeting, than the graduation from Super Hero U. The one that seems to be missing is from L.Ron himself:

ron: Hi, my name is Ron.
croud: Hi Ron!
ron: I'm an alcholi.... I mean an OT eight....
croud: [clapping]

But my question is, how long before they start going off the deep-end, like George, from an earlier post.
