Scientology + Politics = 'Do Not Want' [video]

tom cruise prison sweetheart HuffPo ~ Nevada GOP Senate Hopeful Features Prisoner Massages, Mani-Pedis In Attack Ad: Sue Lowden, Nevada's GOP U.S. Senate favorite, goes all crazy on her Tea Party rival Sharron Angle for the Scientology prison massages (better known as the Narconon Purif) she loves!

lasvegassun ~ Angle has removed the claim that she, along with actresses Kelly Preston and Jenna Elfman, approached Sen. John Ensign to sponsor legislation prohibiting school employees from requiring students to take psychotropic drugs, such as anti-depressants. Preston and Elfman are high-profile members of the Church of Scientology, which does not believe in the use of psychiatric drugs.

Instead, Angle’s website, sharronangle.com, says only that Ensign sponsored a bill “at Angle’s request.”

The apparent scrubbing of her website of the potentially controversial issue — critics of Scientology call it a cult — comes as Angle gains ground in the Republican primary, which has narrowed to a three-way race to take on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

If Angle had done a little homework on the net, instead of getting all starry-eyed around Scientology's Hollywood spokesholes, she might have learned that neighboring New Mexico had already dealt with that style group, minus the promised results.

Albuquerque pulls plug on Second Chance
krqe.com ~ A controversial drug-rehab center organized on elements of Scientology is being evicted for housing inmates convicted of violent crimes, Albuquerque's mayor said Friday. The eviction notice gives Second Chance until the end of the next month to wind down the operation housed in a former city jail on Albuquerque's northwest mesa. So far there has been no response from Second Chance.

For the 46 inmates now housed at Second Chance it appears that in a matter of weeks they'll be sent back to the county jails from which they came. For those who work there, the future is less certain. "They simply didn't live up to their end of the agreement," Mayor Martin Chávez said. Chávez ordered the lease terminated, and eviction proceedings have begun. [more @ krqe]

Coast to Coast / Blown For Good [video soundtracks]

Marc Headley, author of Blown For Good, on Coast to Coast AM radio show talks about the new book that peeks behind the Iron Curtain that is Scientology.

The book reveals details inside Scientology headquarters at the organization's "Gold Base", located near Hemet, California. Headley joined the organization at age seven when his mother became a member, and worked at Scientology's International Management Headquarters for several years before leaving in 2005.
mark headley blown for goodThe inner flap of the book includes a map of the "International Headquarters of Scientology; Gilman Hot Springs, California". Headley writes that under the direction of Scientology leader David Miscavige, employees who signed billion-year contracts routinely put in 100-hour weeks of work for minimal pay.
According to Headley, possible discipline faced by the Scientology employees for perceived mistakes included being separated from family as part of the Scientology policy of "disconnection", being declared a "suppressive person", or being sent to the "Rehabilitation Project Force", a program where Scientologists were assigned harsh labor.

Cincinnati Scientologist Pleads To Sexual Imposition

scientology's cincinnati church moves out of state Ben Kasle Back in April, the kypost.com reported that Ben Kasle, a 21 year old man, was arrested for having sex with a teenager at the Church of Scientology in Downtown Cincinnati. Ben Kasle was charged with two counts of gross sexual imposition. Investigators say he had sex with the girl who is now 14-years-old. Police records indicate the alleged offenses happened at the church on Fourth Street between October 2007 and September 2008. On June 4th, Kasle had his day in court. Of the two counts of Sexual Imposition [2907.06] pending against him, he was found guilty of one and the second was dismissed after pleading nolo contendere (no contest). Sentencing date is not available at this time. In Ohio, this charge is considered an M-3 misdemeanor. Kasle could face up to 60 days in prison and a fine of $500 and would also have to register as a sex offender. In related news,as reported by kypost.com the Cincinnati Scientology center where Kasle's offense was reported to have occurred, is leaving the state and moving to Florence, KY. setting up in a building formerly owned by the Florence Baptist Church. I wonder if they moved " because it has outgrown its location on West Fourth Street in downtown Cincinnati" or if they are trying to distance themselves from the above incident. None of this has appeared in the local news, so I wouldn't be surprised if a certain church is hoping all this will blow over as long as it's kept hush-hush.

KESQ: Scientology's Secret Prison Workforce Part 2

Jeff Hawkins interview Part 2

KESQ-News Channel 3 sent former Scientology marketing director and Portland, OR. resident Jeff Hawkins to KATU-TV, the local ABC television station, where he revealed what happened during his years inside Scientology's world headquarters in Hemet, CA. called "IntBase." His account of what goes on behind these fences is one of religious punishment and imprisonment .[part 2 of 2 below][part 1 of 2]

Below is an older ABC News report on the Rehabilitation Project Force Camps (or RPF's) in Clearwater, FL. The Nazi's called them Concentration Camps. To the Soviets they were Gulags. And in China they are Camps for Re-Education. They're all the same thing. Places designed to break the spirit and the body of the criminal inmates.
So, who ends up in the RPF?
  1. People deemed to have hidden evil intentions (detected by the E-meter).
  2. People who were unproductive and scored poorly on the personality test.
  3. Repeated "stat crashers" (people who were held responsible for declines in Scientology organizations' productivity)
  4. "Overt product makers" (people who produced poor-quality work).
  5. People who spoke against any member of the church or church activity (declared a Suppressive Person).
